| Advice for Our Clients
Please be aware that names must agree with proof of U.S. citizenship or government issued identification that will be used during your travel. Any legal name changes must be documented, such as in the case of marriages or divorces. Severn Travel is a retail travel agency selling the products of other travel suppliers. We will notify you of the name of the company that will be providing or arranging for your travel and provide you with their brochure or Internet web location.Each travel supplier has rules regarding changes or cancellations. The best source of information is the travel supplier’s brochure, which Severn Travel will provide to you if it is available to us. Please take some time to review this information. If we do not have a brochure, we can check with the travel supplier and advise you of their policies. Some travel suppliers offer cancellation or change waiver for a fee. Some of these waivers allow you to change or cancel for any reason. Travel insurance is also available for purchase. Some insurance will not cover pre-existing medical conditions. Those that do usually require that you purchase the policy when you make your initial payment on a trip. For specific questions on insurance coverage, we can provide telephone numbers for you to call. In addition to any fees charged by travel suppliers, Severn Travel charges a minimum fee of $50 per person for canceled reservations and may charge a fee for changes made to reservations. Severn Travel recommends travel insurance that includes coverage for the financial default or bankruptcy of a travel supplier. Financial default or bankruptcy coverage is not included when you purchase travel insurance offered through the tour operator or cruise line. For health requirement for the destinations you are visiting, there are local clinics that specialize in foreign travel such as: Passport Health at 410-729-2233 or Mercy Medical Center at 410-332-9692. You should also consult your personal physician. Unless you have made a last-minute booking, we usually receive your travel documents about ten (10) day to two (2) weeks prior to your departure. At that time we will call you to make arrangements for you to pick them up, or if you live out of the area, to send them to you. Severn Travel's Responsibility

Severn Travel (Severn Travel) and/or its agents act only in the capacity as an agent for the passenger in all matters connected with luggage, hotels, sightseeing tours and transportation, whether by motor coach, boat, train, airplane or any other means; and is not liable for any damage from any cause. Severn Travel and/or its agents are not responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by late departures, changes of schedule, strikes or other conditions. Severn Travel is not liable for any wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions of any travel seller or wholesaler. Legal proceedings by or against Severn Travel may be instituted only in a state of federal court with the State of Maryland, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. In the case of computer or human billing error Severn Travel reserves the right to re-invoice with correct billing. Severn Travel is not responsible for typographical or printing errors, or errors arising from unforeseen circumstances. |
